Straight answers for restaurants and suppliers.

How the buying group works, where the savings come from and what suppliers keep under their control.

Understanding Kivo

What is Kivo?

Kivo represents independent restaurants as one buying group. It aggregates their purchasing volume and negotiates better prices and conditions with selected suppliers.

Why can Kivo obtain better prices?

A supplier can offer stronger conditions when several restaurants represent meaningful, predictable volume together. Kivo turns fragmented demand into one commercial negotiation.

Is Kivo a wholesaler?

No. Kivo does not buy or hold stock. Suppliers continue fulfilling and delivering orders.

Where does Kivo launch?

The first pilot is planned for Brussels and nearby areas, category by category.

For restaurants

Do I remain independent?

Yes. Each restaurant keeps its identity, menu, product choices and business decisions. Kivo only represents the group for purchasing.

Do I have to replace my suppliers?

No. Existing suppliers can participate if they can support the group’s negotiated conditions and service requirements.

Are group prices guaranteed to be lower?

Kivo only presents conditions that create a clear benefit compared with the normal standalone offer for a comparable independent restaurant.

Do I have to buy every product through Kivo?

No. The pilot is designed to prove value category by category, without forcing total purchasing exclusivity.

Will restaurants pay a fee?

Any platform fee will be transparent and communicated before participation. Savings must remain clear after fees.

For suppliers

Why would a supplier join?

To access consolidated demand from several qualified restaurants, increase route density and reduce fragmented sales administration.

Who sets the supplier price?

The supplier proposes group conditions based on expected volume. Kivo negotiates on behalf of participating restaurants.

Do suppliers keep delivery?

Yes. Suppliers retain their warehouses, vehicles, routes, cut-offs and service standards.

Can customer-specific terms remain private?

Yes. Account information and negotiated conditions are only shown to the relevant parties.

Does Kivo own the customer relationship?

No. Kivo represents the buying group and organises the commercial workflow; the supplier remains responsible for fulfilment and service.
